 Migration

The Rohingya Muslims, considered by the United Nations as the "most persecuted minority group in the world", are a stateless group of people concentrated in Western Myanmar, and face brutal assaults from the Burmese state and military. Many of them have migrated to several areas of India and Bangladesh seeking better living condition. 47 families of Rohingyan Muslims are confined to a small slum in Badarpur, New Delhi. Of the 255 people living there, 96 are below the age of 12. They lead a miserable life, living in extremely unhygienic conditions without electricity, drinking water, proper cloths to wear, nutritious food and access to basic education.
